“What are the expectations of parents for the Education of their children..?”
Parents expect their child to be well aware of all the knowledge which is necessary for a bright career from the school stage itself.So that, it would be easy for the child to gain impressive grades in further standards.
“But…How do the parents really know whether their kids are getting the education which is required in the modern world i.e. the quality education or Mere a Piece of Sheet?”
For this, the Parents needs to be aware of the trends in the Educational field in which their children are involved in.
“In most of the Developed countries like America, Parents are involved in advisory for the teachers. Though, it is not practiced in India.”The schools do project their Educational methods to parents through programmes like “Parent-Teachers meeting”.
But, In our country, even this is being neglected due to busy lives of many parents. Most of the parents rarely are well aware of their child’s education.
The teacher’s quality can no more be judged on the basis of the marks of the student but should be judged on the basis of the quality education and the skills that a student is learning in his/her school time.
The Parent’s concern should be “Whether my child getting a proper education to compete and thrive in this advanced world and not that whether he/she is getting good marks ?”.
Selecting best school at the corporate level based on its reputation for the child isn’t enough at all.The parents are always the first teacher in a students life.Thus, Awareness of the educational method practiced should be known and even before knowing that it is very important to know your kid.

Moreover, gaining knowledge is the main aim besides, obtaining grades. But, judging the capability of a student only based on their grades isn’t fair at all. Parents should know the strengths and interests of their child.
They should be well aware of the following things –
- Up to what level students are getting trained?
- What methods do institutions adapt to educate the students?
- What is the expectation of the Institution towards the students?
- Do they prior only based on their grades? or making students develop their skills and knowledge?
All these factors must be monitored by the parents on their children.It is very important to spend some time with the child on their educational practices and help them in different ways of learning rather than just scolding them all the time for their marks.

Even though the responsibility of teaching Educational Skills are on the Institutions.But it becomes really important for a Parent to be well aware of trends in the educational field. The Parents have a vital role in teaching child some of the skills such as Personality development and Ethical knowledge.
